iRacing Service Status: Not in Service - how do I fix this? |

It looks like the latest Windows Defender update removed the IPv4 version of localhost from
C:windowssystem32driversetchosts It used to have these two lines (potentially in addition to other entries) 127.0.0.1 localhost ::1 localhost but it looks like it removed the first one, leaving only ::1 localhost Solution: copy that host file to a different directory, put the 127.0.0.1 localhost in front of the ::1 line so it looks like this: 127.0.0.1 localhost ::1 localhost save that file and copy it back to C:WindowsSystem32driversetc |
