How to fix the Simulator problem #102 error

Simulator problem #102 typically means that the SIM still thinks you are in a session. Whether that is caused by not withdrawing successfully from a previous one (making sure to confirm after withdrawing), or whether a session for some reason just didn't disconnect properly. It also can sometimes mean that the iRacingService was unable to verify the digital signature on the iracingDyn.dll. That probably means that the file was missing or corrupted somehow from the installation.

Many times simply logging out of iRacing and relogging back in resolves this. Sometimes rebooting the machine will release the session. If neither of those work then reinstalling iRacing will fix it.

If needed, the best way to reinstall iRacing is to first remove it from your Control Panel...Add/Remove Programs.

Then delete the C:Program FilesiRacing folder.
Empty your Recycle Bin.
Then reboot your computer.

After that, access http://members.iracing.com and follow the download/install/update instructions.

Although your setups and replays should not be affected in this process, if you feel more comfortable, you can first back up your My Documents/iRacing/Setups and Replay folders first.

To save time (and bandwidth), you can back up your C:Program FilesiRacingCars and Tracks folders to another location.

Then after deleting and reinstalling the iRacing program, before doing the download/updates - replace the new Cars and Tracks folders with the original ones. Then go back to the iRacing Members site and click Refresh. You may still need to do a small update but it will be much quicker.
