What is a competition License?

^{Each new driver will start with a Rookie License. The red license is for Road Racing and the blue for Oval Racing. Each level is associated with a different color stripe.}

^{Advancement only occurs at the end of a season and is based solely on your Safety Rating. Achieving a higher license level is dependent upon how safely you drive in each session you join. For license advancements, a driver must achieve a Safety Rating of at least 3.00 at the end of a season. To maintain a license generally requires a Safety Rating of 2.00. Race, Qualify and Time Trial sessions are weighted; an incident-free Race session has a greater impact on your Safety Rating than an incident-free Time Trial session.}
